The kingfisher is not actually a water bird. He has no flippers and his feathers are different from those of the water birds. He will therefore have to overcome difficulties in order to obtain his daily meal. Catching a fish must be well coordinated.
The kingfisher is patient, alert and quickly oversees bottlenecks. With his perseverance and great focus, he is problem-solving. He uses these qualities to build up and maintain his life for the better. This also indicates that the kingfisher cherishes life, and is very balanced.
It is not said for nothing that this bird represents all elements. Earth, fire, water and air indicate that people of this type are stable people. In balance, with a lot of potential to get everything out of themselves and life when they have found their passion. Then the fire burns, they are stable grounded in the earth with their being. Life is then like their airspace, free to be who they want to be and water symbolises everything they need to live.
